Philadelphia, dated February 17, 1776 and signed by Samuel Sellers, the obverse with FUGIO and MIND YOUR BUSINESS around a sundial; the reverse with a circle of interlocked chain links representing the thirteen colonies. This was the lowest denomination of the series.



3.25 x 2.5 in.

The striking visual elements of this note, designed by Benjamin Franklin, were repeated on the 1776 Continental Dollar coin and the 1787 Fugio cent.

Even wear; a central horizontal folding crease; even brown toning; overall good condition.
