The collection includes a sample sheet of various watercolors with Halpern's handwritten notes presented under glass in a bird's eye maple frame and six glass bottles of various watercolors and varnish.

Known in the Netherlands as the "van Gogh of potters," Lea Halpern exhibited extensively throughout her lifetime. Her work was featured in shows from the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Baltimore Museum of Art, The British Museum, the Victorian & Albert Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
