Early 20th century, the first a large heavy porcelain tray finely hand painted with four samurai fighting amidst a barrage of arrows, writing to the underside of the tray, the second a lobed rim dish hand painted in polychrome enamels and gilt with a scene from the 36 Immortal Poets, signed kutani and artist to the underside.

12/5 x 18/25 x 1.75 in.

Good estate condition; rubbing and loss to gilding on edges of tray; one hairline crack to the underside of rim on tray.
