The first a Victorian silver example with mark of Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham (1860), engraved decoration to keel, the barrel shaped buoy bearing the Royal Naval crown and anchor, no monogram (tear to keel) (4.5 in.); the second marked "Sterling" and by unknown manufacturer, no monogram or engraving (5.5 in.).
