Second half of the 19th century, mahogany, mahogany veneer, intricate and detailed multi-function game table, including three hinged lids as follows: the top with central Dutch town square and reading "Afbeelding van den Dam van Amsterdam", flanked by two large inlaid urns, this lid opens to a double chess and checker inlaid playing surface flanked by urns and swags; the second lid opening to a full card playing surface with green felt and inlaid putti and playing cards; the third and final lid opens and is supported by a gate leg and showcases a writing desk where a metamorphic compartment rises and features an inlaid book rest, pigeon holes, and five small drawers, table sides beautifully inlaid with swag and herringbone inlays, raised on four cabriole legs with an acanthus carved knee and ball and claw feet.
