Anglo-India, circa 1880, handle is decorated with a carved ivory band of joined elephants and is threaded to remove tools from the interior (tools not known to be original) rosewood shaft; the second cane, likely English, circa 1880, has an ivory top carved with scholars beneath a tree above a silver repousse surround (unmarked), interior of the malacca shaft contains a very small compass, ivory ferrule (38 in.).
