Edo period (1615-1868), ink and colors on paper, all original period woodblock prints by Utagawa Kunisada also known as Toyokuni III (1786-1865), includes vertical format prints from various series and triptychs, all with the vivid graphics and lush decorative detailing characteristic of Kunisada, featuring depictions of kabuki actors and geisha.

Per the consignor, many purchased in Kyoto and Tokyo, Japan and some from The Japanese Gallery in London.

Varying condition on prints which includes: water spots and staining, loss to paper, trimming, backing, worm holes, fading to color, and wear to surface of paper.
