Mid to late 19th century, ink and colors on paper, one fan painted with noble Chinese figures in outdoor landscape and the other with very finely detailed flowers and butterflies against a dark indigo background, both with light pink borders, ivory sticks are carved in intricate patterns especially the lead, fans are framed individually within a gilded fan box lined in light blue silk and glass cover, not examined outside of the frame.
