To include: Framed CDV portrait of Longstreet in uniform (not examined out of frame for backmark) (Losses and crease); Double-sided display frame with an Autograph Letter Signed R M Powell, St. Louis, Missouri, October 22, 1901, 3 pages, octavo, to an unknown recipient, reading in part: "In vain I seek for words sufficiently graceful to thank you for kind mention you have accorded me in your annals of the Texans in war...you have done a great work in perpetuating the memory of men who played their part in the battles of giants..."Col. Robert M. Powell commanded the 5th Texas Infantry. According to a plaque framed next to the letter, Powell was "Captured at Gettysburg And Mistaken For General Longstreet. Federals Momentarily Exuberant." (Fine appearance, DOA 10.75 x 13.5 in.)
