The carving attributed to Mount Athos, 19th century or earlier, double-sided, one side featuring the Madonna and Child enthroned and the opposite side featuring Christ Pantocrater with both hands raised in blessing, each central figure surrounded by the Twelve Apostles, the silver gilt filigree case with enameled decoration and paste jewels, small seed pearls cap the fittings holding the case together, unmarked.
