Scott Heiser was a well-known fashion photographer who worked with such luminaries as Andy Warhol, Debbie Harry, Jean Paul Gaultier, and as pictured here, Jamie Wyeth. Heiser studied design and held various odd jobs when getting his start in New York City, but it was this photograph of artist Jamie Wyeth that made him famous. Heiser was asked to photograph Wyeth on his farm in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania with his pigs that are so often the subject of his celebrated farm life paintings. This photograph was a turning point for Heiser's career and it provides photographic insight into Wyeth's paintings.
