Circa 1900, ink and colors on paper, one of about fifty bird and flower woodblock prints in a book designed by Tsukioka Kōgyo (1869-1927) for the publisher Daikokuya (Matsuki Heikichi), the print features a rat by a radish, the rat heads the animals of the zodiac and is highly respected in the Eastern tradition as a symbol of prosperity, framed under glass with silk mat, not examined outside of the frame.
