Virginia or Tennessee, second quarter of the 19th century, poplar and walnut secondary, rectangular case with hinged lid, divided interior with two compartments, front and back half blind dovetailed case, above a single drawer with two lightwood line inlaid panels featuring lunette corners, raised on finely ring turned and tapered legs.

One burn mark to top; missing clasp; frame attached with later screws, rear spacer board likely replaced; interior case and shaped divider board refinished; drawer runners rebuilt; drawer bottom with good patina to interior but re-beveled to bottom side, likely when drawer runners rebuilt.
