Qing dynasty (1644-1911), 19th century or earlier, ink and colors on paper, painted with a multitude of heavenly beings each individualized in expression and features, most with halos around their heads, the Daoist pantheon represented includes mostly figures dressed in earthly officials fashion, but also some demon-like and animal spirits, most depicted only from chest up, the central column features the more important deities as both sides look in profile to them, they are depicted in a frontal position with more of their bodies exposed, blue clouds serve as a background to the figures, and a blank red marker is centered at the bottom, predominantly painted in blues, reds, greens, and whites, framed under glass with silk mat, not examined outside of the frame.

Similar in composition to an embroidered Daoist priest's robe from the 18th century in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.

Repairs to paper particularly down the center; creasing to paper throughout; toning to paper; possibly removed from former backing and remounted to strong paper.
