Vintage Hartmann Turntable Trunk "Pathfinder"

1930-1939, this rare vellum covered brass bound wardrobe trunk features two locked and double latched doors, one opens to reveal a folding hanging garment section with multiple wood hangers, and the opposing side conceals a stack of six drawers, the bottom one lined in satin for lingerie. The design is to spin around on end in order to give convenient access to both sides of the trunk. The turntable is on ball bearings and turns smoothly. The trunk was retailed at Saks Fifth Avenue and bears a plaque denoting that and also retains several travel related decals. With keys.
