1974 Fender Mustang Bass
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Serial# 538206, double cutaway body with sunburst finish, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, Fender tuners. With leather strap and labeled Fender gig bag.

From the collection of the late Steven Donaghey, New York City . Mr. Donaghey was a popular professional musician who played with Barry Manilow, Jay Black, and the Fred Norris Band. He was also active in the Kingston Trio Fantasy Camps and performed with Trio member John Stewart both in America and abroad.

A well-traveled road warrior showing its age, but likely with many miles yet to go. The finish with allover crazing and losses; a 2x2 in. area of wear on back reveals underlying raw wood; a likely cigarette burn on headstock; some corrosion or fabric remnants on tailpiece; a solid vintage instrument.
