Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, vertical embroidery, with a dark blue indigo silk ground, hand embroidered with an elegant and very auspicious scene with a plum blossom tree in the center having gold thread trunk and branches, a pair of cranes fly through the scene and below are craggy rocks and a spotted deer, with silk embroidered border, professionally framed in a closed corner frame.

DOA 74 x 25.25 in.

This auspicious imagery in Chinese art of spotted deer and a pair of cranes symbolizes longevity and long life.
