Mark of Baldwin Gardiner (active in New York, NY 1827-1847), oblong form with shaped rim, the rim of the dish and the cover with applied lappet design, the cover with removable cast handle, both the cover and dish engraved "Pumpelly" in Old English lettering, the dish and cover are both numbered "3" and the handle is numbered "4."
