Late Ming or Early Qing dynasty, 16th or 17th century, ink and colors on paper, a quiet fluid landscape with very finely painted trees and leaves, mountains dotted with lichen, figures walk with their donkeys on a trail that begins in lower right corner then over a stone arched bridge to a small village and then the trail vanishes behind a cloud to resume and flow out of the scene at the top left corner, darken clouds populate the area at top, no calligraphy or seals to the composition but clearly painted by a skillful artist, framed with label from Shanghai frame maker Yeh Feng Hsieng (address in Peiping), not examined outside of the frame.
