Qing dynasty (1644-1912), ink and colors on silk, hanging scroll format, a commanding image of six figures in winter robes, three red robed females on left side, three men in navy blue winter robes on right side, all robes bear a white crane rank badge, the highest civil rank in the Qing dynasty, emphasizing their rank and importance are the elaborate headdresses worn by the women and hats worn by the men, the sedan chairs the figures are seated in are wrapped in yellow ground fabric with four clawed dragons, the hanging scroll is framed as a whole in elaborate gilded frame.

DOA 72.5 x 45.25 in., SS 56 x 36.25 in.

Some old repairs to the silk, particularly down the center between the painted figures and the lower corners of the painting; some minor scratches to surface and minor loss to pigments.
