1966 Gibson J50ADJ Dreadnought Flat Top Guitar
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Serial #427894 on back of headstock, mahogany neck, natural finish to spruce top, rosewood fingerboard with bound mahogany back and sides, the original Kluson Deluxe tuners replaced with Grovers. This instrument comes with a period hardshell case with plush lining.

All joints appear solid and no cracks were detected with a flashlight in the dark; two drill holes are on the top, and a third hole is nearby on the lower bout (these probably for a pick-up); the bridge is cracked through the pin holes (pins present in the case compartment); pick wear on the bass side of the sound hole; allover crazing to the finish; the neck appears straight; the fingerboard shows heavy play wear with finger grooves through the 5th fret; a few edge chips as expected of a well-traveled road warrior. Restoration for playing should be minimal. Overall good vintage condition for a guitar that appears to have been used professionally.
