Late 19th century, circular alabaster top with molded edge, carved and gilt gesso base with acanthus leaf and floral skirt, on stop-fluted legs, with shaped stretcher base.

30 x 42 in diameter.

From the home of Durham philanthropist and banker, John Sprunt Hill, and his wife, Annie Watts Hill, who was the only daughter of George W. Watts, an original partner in the American Tobacco Corporation

Poor condition; alabaster top broken in several pieces; base with gesso losses, overpaint, small area of loss to one skirt edge.
