19th century, two paintings of gouache on pith paper in jewel colors depicting people at court, one an elegant noble lady seated and wearing a crane rank badge coat and ornate collar and hairpieces with an attendant, and the other with a young attendant to scholar wearing a court hat with peacock feather showing his high respect at court, framed identically with silk mats, not examined outside of the frame.

DOA 15.5 x 12.25 in.

Very good color; some discoloration to paper on one painting in center; very minor discoloration in small spots to other painting.
