Each consisting of a genuine ancient coin accompanied by a brief essay placing it in an historical context, to include the following: Macedonian Kingdom, late 4th century B.C., silver drachm, northwest Asia Minor, types of Alexander III (the Great), obverse depicting head of Herakles, the reverse with Zeus enthroned left (cleaned with abraded surfaces, about extremely fine); Roman Empire, Constantine I (the Great), 307-337 A.D., bronze follis, Nicomedia mint, circa 311 A.D., obverse with laureate head of emperor, reverse with Jupiter standing left holding Victory (extremely fine, light pitting to obverse, some flatness to reverse).
