Meiji period (1868-1912), very large porcelain charger hand painted with vivid traditional Japanese patterns in iron red, cobalt blue, green, and gilt, four shaped sections with birds and flowers along the interior with fanciful floral medallion and decoration to the center, with large cobalt blue swirling vines to exterior, spur marks to underside, comes together with elaborate wooden stand.
