Mark of Daniel Van Voorhis (1751-1824), further marked with an American eagle and shield pseudo hallmark, circa 1800, monogrammed "L P M" to underside of handle, the recto of handles with bright cut engraving and monogrammed "MB."

Daniel Van Voorhis was a silversmith and Revolutionary Patriot. Born in Oyster Bay, New York, he served under George Washington during the American Revolution.
