19th century, underglaze blue and white decoration of a landscape centered with a bridge, "Rain and Cloud" border: a covered sauce tureen (4 x 6 in.); three graduated serving dishes, oval, one with cover (the two largest with edge erosion); high sided platter (2.25 x 13.25 in.); a platter (14.75 in.); a scalloped deep bowl (4.75 x 9 in.)

From the estate of the late Mary L. Hill, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

This porcelain was bought and shipped from Canton (Guangzhou) generally to serve as Ballast under the tea chests.

Both platters with some edge scrapes or nicks.
