Piedmont Region, circa 1820, two-part form, poplar secondary, upper bookcase with applied cove molded cornice above a plain frieze with lower beaded edge, two upper hinged cabinet doors each with a double molded panel, triple shelves interior with scratch beading to front edge, desk with hinged lipped lid having breadboard ends and inlaid kite escutcheon, with loper supports, central prospect door with reeded surround and two interior hidden drawers flanked by eight small drawers and eight pigeon holes with valances, four long graduated case drawers with scratch bead, straight feet form the stile, inset bead to front scalloped skirt.

Right side cornice replaced; applied waist molding at top of desk replaced; cut and hinge repair at desk lid hinge area; drawer runners rebuilt; pulls old and possibly original; left front foot side facing with one-inch tip.
