19th century or earlier, conforming bowfront top, convex high relief carved skirt with phoenixes and peony blossoms, both symbols associated with the empress and noble women in the court, raised on four cabriole legs with acanthus and scrolled feet, raised on stylized ball feet, underside retains part of an old Chinese paper label.
