Including a silverplate tea urn and teapot with mark of William Gale & Son of New York, the burner for the urn dated 1856, each with period monogram "L" (18.25 in. and 13.75 in.); and a sterling silver sugar bowl with cover and creamer with mark of Baltimore Silversmiths Mfg. Co., not monogrammed (9.25 in. and 8 in.) (34.95 total troy oz.).

An excellent example of mid-19th century silver design, the silverplate teapot and urn feature naturalist branch form cast silver handles. The bodies each repoussed and then chased with a scrolling grape cluster and vine motif. The tea urn raised on an integral cast and finely detailed naturalistic base. The sugar bowl and creamer of similar design with hand-decorated grape vine motifs.

Light staining and minor crazing to original insulators on teapot; else in good estate condition.
