Early 20th century, a small black lacquered chest that would sit on a table, with decoration of auspicious motifs in gilt; metal medallions to front two dooors with Japanese characters, raised on four shaped feet; doors open in front to reveal four interior drawers, lower drawer, compartment at top with sliding doors.
