A Large Chinese Archaic Bronze Bowl

19th or 20th century, bronze bowl with thick rim and raised foot, decorated with a band around the body of key and ruyi motifs with taotie styled masks interrupting band in a high relief, the foot has same incised decoration without the taotie masks, very heavy.

H 5.5 in., Diameter 13.25 in.

Developed patina; shiny black substance to surface to areas of bowl interior; some glitter remains as well interior of bowl.
