Edo period (1615-1868), ink on silk, painting of a horse with figures under tree, Japanese hanging scroll mounting, comes together with inscribed tomobako "Horse Painting" and artist's signature. Purchased from an antique store in Tokyo during late 1950s per consignor.

DOA 52 x 26.5 in.; SS 20.75 x 22 in.

Overall good condition; some loss to the silk, especially in the upper left corner area; wear to the mounting with a few holes and breaks.
