A Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Plaque

Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 18th or 19th century, very fine painting in the famille rose palette of lovely arching bamboo extending from a large elegantly shaped rock with peonies and other flora, two birds and butterflies flutter above, thin gilt border with thick rose colored border around, having a red character mark and feather in upper left corner, presented in a carved and reticulated hardwood frame.

Plaque DOA 20.25 x 15 3/8 in.

Some rubbing and imperfections to rose colored border of plaque; minor rubbing to gilt highlights and enamel; no evidence of restoration under UV light; some shrinkage to framing.
