Each side depicts a wheelbarrow, this is a preparatory sketch for Pissarro's drypoint and aquatint titled Femme vidant une brouette from 1880 (Delteil 31), sketch was completed in the late 1870s or 1880, with artist's initials ink stamped "C.P." on the recto and on the verso (Lugt 613e), with "101" inside a circle in red pencil written in lower left corner of the verso, and this may be the drawing's inventory number, presented in a double-sided giltwood frame.

Sheet Size 10 x 7.5 in.; DOA 19.75 x 22.5 in.
