Edward Wormley was a modern furniture designer who had a thriving career designing for such companies as Marshal Fields & Company and Dunbar Furniture Company. Many credit Wormley’s success to his ability to unify the sleek simplicity of the new modernist trends with prevailing characteristics of traditionalism. One of Wormley’s most successful career choices was his position as Director of Design for Dunbar Furniture Company. He held this role for over thirty years, and it brought great success to both him and to the Company.
