Meiji period (1868-1912), circa 1890, all over relief carving, the back having three shaped panels with two dragons flanking a central panel of a phoenix, having inlaid bone eyes surrounded by scrolling clouds, hinged lift seat with a relief carved Greek key border and central medallions, dragon arms with repeating carvings to the lower panels.
