A Japanese Bronze Handled Urn

Early 20th century, cylindrical shape with baluster form at lower body, decorated in low relief with birds on a bamboo stalk and on reverse a butterfly flying amongst flowers, elongated shaped mythical beast handles flank the body, unmarked.

Drilled hole to side above foot, probably for a previous lamp fitting; wear and slight pitting to underside.
