William Plummer was a talented Georgian silversmith who appears to have specialized in saw-pierced objects, including baskets, fish slices and strainers. Examples of his silver may be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Victoria & Albert Museum, London, the Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, MA, and many others.

A few very minor bent elements to cutwork edges; no apparent losses or repairs; light scratching; overall very good estate condition.
