Vintage 1932 National Style N Single Cone Resonator Guitar
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Serial number S3584, nickel-plated German silver top and sides over brass back, mahogany neck with 12-fret fingerboard; comes with contemporary hardshell case.

This guitar was fully restored by the able craftsmen at National Reso-Phonic before it was acquired by the consignor in 2006. Known replaced elements include the headstock overlay, tuners, fingerboard, frets, and tailpiece. The Style N guitar was National's top of the line single cone resonator between 1930 and 1934. They are quite rare and it is highly likely this example is the only one on the market today.

Dings and wear typical of early Nationals are present; a spot of loss to the plating on the back reveals underlying brass, some scattered discoloration to the nickel, especially evident around f-holes; plays very well, as one would expect from a professional factory set-up. Overall good condition.
