20th century, censer body is decorated in polychrome enamels with peony blossoms against a turquoise blue ground, raised on three legs with mask faces and rope detail, fitted cover with band of floral cloisonne against a turquoise blue ground extending into a reticulated brass center surmounted by an elegant foo lion, elongated handles flank the body.
