Willie Anne Wright is a photographer from Richmond, Virginia who uses the early techniques of lensless pinhole and photogram photography for her work. This particular image captures a scene from a Civil War reenactment that is also present in the collection of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, Virginia and was part of the traveling exhibition, Civil War Redux: Pinhole Photographs by Willie Anne Wright (2014). Other museums that house Wright's work include the Chrysler Museum of Art, Norfolk, Virginia; High Museum of Art, Atlanta, Georgia; Southeast Museum of Photography, Daytona Beach, Florida; New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans, Louisiana; and others.
