Paul was an active artist in Paris, studying with Jean-Paul Laurens and Pharaoh Abdon Leon De Winter at the École des Beaux-Arts. He regularly exhibited at the Salon of French Artists, and was an instructor at the Académie Julian from 1912-1938. He is known for his brilliant use of color and luminosity achieved in his seascapes and landscapes in the areas of Bretagne and Corncarneau.

Good estate condition with a few minor scattered areas of stable craquelure. No signs of restoration when viewed under blacklight, minor wear to frame.
