Valerie Otani received her BA in philosophy from Antioch College in Ohio, and her MA in Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco State University in California. She was a long-time resident of Portland, Washington and her public art installations may be seen throughout the city.

Good estate condition, darkening to reverse and edges could be intended from firing process.
