All 19th Century, the first in watercolor on paper, depicting a shield with three "V"-shaped nail/spike motifs, presented in a gilt oval frame (8 x 6.75in.) (toning and scattered foxing to sheet, wear to frame, not examined out of the frame); the second oil on panel, depicting a pair of serpents bundling barley grain, with Latin inscription underneath "Fortune Favors the Bold", framed (8 x 9.5 in.) (good estate condition); last a painted metal shield depicting a centered book within a golden cross and four golden lions (8.5 x 6 in.) (scattered areas of paint loss).
