Mark of International Silver Co., model number 1003, double handled tapered cylindrical form with pedestal foot, 2 1/4 pint capacity, with engraved inscription: "Presented To: Herman S. Heller / Founder of / Sunday Morning Concerts / From the members of the / California Theater Orchestra / May 7, 1922".

Born in Hungary in 1881, Herman Heller emigrated to the United States. He was first violinist in the Philadelphia Orchestra from 1900 until 1902. He is best remembered as a popular conductor for several prominent theaters and hotels in San Francisco, California. He did live in New York City for several years, during which time he was the musical director for the Warner Theatre and was involved in music for motion pictures.
