Late 19th or early 20th century, a gibbon seated in a pine tree wrapped in grape leaves, the gibbon is reaching down to touch the moon, on a midnight blue ground with silk and metallic threads in assorted stitch techniques, panel possibly cut from larger original, framed with brocade mat, and a silver painted wooden frame, not examined outside of the frame.
