The steel dial marked by maker W. & L. E. Gurley / Troy, N. Y. and also naming distributor Jas. W. Queen & Co. of Philadelphia; brass construction; the instrument includes two sights, two spirit levels, and a socket for mounting the unit to a tripod. Presented in its original fitted wooden case having the distributor's paper label affixed to the underside of the lid.
