Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 18th or 19th century, a hound seated with his front legs extended, he wears a gourd shaped bell on a collar around his neck, his mouth is open with his tongue hanging out, ears down, a hawk is perched on his head, much smaller in scale than the dog, bumps down the back of the hound define his backbone, short tail.
