Nissan Engel is an Israeli artist whose style has emerged from his traditional artistic training, working with theatrical set and costume design, as well as experience with stained glass windows. Engel was born in Haifa, Israel, and went on to study art at the Bezalel School of Art in Jerusalem and later theater production at Centre Dramatique de l’Est in Strasbourg, France. He refers to his style as "Abstract Lyricism," as it is infused with movement and color. Engel has lived and practiced in Israel, Paris, Maryland, and New York.
